Pro Life and Thinking About Nursing School Posted By Jenna
I would really appreciate your feedback on my question as it is something that I am thinking really hard about.
I am currently in my final year of my Bachelor of Music Education, but have always felt a calling toward a career in healthcare. I have been considering nursing, but this is a huge decision for me as I will already have had 5 years of university. I am 100% pro life, and will have absolutely nothing to do with abortion for as long as i live, and with everything that is going on right now in America (I am a Canadian), I worry so much that I would loose my rights as a healthcare provider and be forced to go against my personal beliefs or loose my job.
Is there any way to know forsure that I could be a nurse and not have to support abortion in any way?
I want to make my decision soon and would really appreciate any personal stories or advice from you.

How Can We As Nurses Increase the Spread of the Pro Life Message? Post By Debra
Ways to help get out the pro-life view is to use the internet and technologies to reach others (which we have started to do), write letters (emails) to the editors of newspapers on pro-life issues and talking to friends in the nursing profession. I have 4 friends who are nurses and pro-life whom I've talked to about NAPN and pro-life issues. Some universities/colleges have pro-life groups on campus. We could speak at meetings about a pro-life topic related to health care and about NAPN. A lot of schools offer nursing as a major, so could possibly reach some people this way.
Another very important issue is conscience rights for health care providers. Getting involved on the State level to help pass conscience protections will help pro-life nurses keep their jobs in this current environment of the culture of death. Helping Pro-lifers get elected to public office is another way to try and turn the tide away from the death culture. In my state of Wisconsin, two pro-lifers are running in the Republican primary, the winner will run against the seated governor- Doyle (who isn't pro-life and in fact vetoed the conscience protection act when it reached his desk).
These are just a few ideas on how to counter the pro-death movement of society and promote pro-life nursing. It may seem like an uphill battle but we are on the right side, the side of life. I believe ultimately our views will prevail.

I want to declare that the Brazilian Federation of the Academies of Medicine, in its Seventh Conclave, accomplished in Rio de Janeiro, from May 7th to May 9th, 1998, wrote a document, entitled “Carta do Rio” (Letter from Rio), in which is read that the Brazilian Medical Class affirms as Irrefutable Scientific Truth, that Human Life begins with the Conception!!! Besides, recently more than a thousand doctors and of medicine and genetics area researchers, in Spain, signed an entitled Manifesto “Carta de Madri” (Letter from Madrid), in which is read that the Spanish Medical Class also affirms as Irrefutable Scientific Truth, that Human Life begins with the Conception!!! If Human Life begins with the conception, the abortion is a Crime and Monstrous Crime!!!
A research done by the Finnish Center for the Research in 1996, published by the Medical Magazine, British Medical Journal (Vol. December 313,07, 1996, pages from 1431 at 1434, authors: - Dr. Mika Gissler, Dra. Elina Hemminiki and Dra. Jouko Lönnqvist), shows that number of women that commit suicide, after they have made an abortion is 3 times larger than the number of women that commit suicide and that never became pregnant and 6 times larger than the number of women that commit suicide and that were mothers!!! During the time that this research was made there was not any report of pregnant women's suicide!!! After you have known of these data, do I ask you, if can we still to admit the abortion in any circumstance???
ABORTION IS CRIME AND AS SUCH IT SHOULD BE TREATED!!!
